Frequently Asked Questions

Not all dogs are the same, and a one size fits all approach isn’t in the best interest of the dogs.  We have different options to best meet the needs of dogs with different needs and personalities. If you need help choosing what option is best for your dog contact us, we can help. 

Your dogs should always arrive on a leash, we have birds (chickens, ducks and guineas) some of them free range, we also have outdoor kitties.

Food, please bring enough food PLUS 3-4 extra meals in case there is a delay in your return. Please label your dogs food with their name and your serving amount (1 cup am, 2 cups pm, etc).

Medication/supplements, please label them with your dogs name and dosage instructions.

Crate if you wish your dog to sleep in a crate at night instead of in a kennel if doing standard boarding or stay and play boarding. Luxury boarding doggies sleep wherever they wish (couch, floor, dog bed etc) so if you wish them to sleep in a crate instead bring it.

Optional: treats, bed, blanket, toys. While we always  try to care for your things, due to the nature of dogs we can not guarantee that you will get it back in the condition you brought it in. We are  also unable to wash large dog beds in the event your dog gets yours dirty. We do have raised dog beds in the kennels and soft dog beds in the house.

Luxury boarding please do not bring toys, we have loads and get more every month.

Please do NOT bring bowls, we even have slow feeder bowls available upon request. 

We do have refrigerator space available for any dog food or medication that needs it

Not at all! We take puppies and senior dogs and everything in between.

Absolutely! Please bring your dogs medicine labeled with your dogs name and dosage instructions. If you dogs needs hot dogs or pill pockets you need to bring that as well.

We are highly experienced in injectable medication and do not charge extra for medication administration.

We have refrigerator space available for any medication that needs it.

Maybe! Your dog has been busy while you were away. Stay and play boarders and luxury boarders spend an enormous amount of time playing. They may be extremely tired for a day or two. This is completely normal.

Your dog also might be crazy excited to see you. This is also normal.

Your dog might be really hungry or thirsty, water is always provided but sometimes dogs are like children and forget to stop and take a drink while they are busy with their friends.  If your dog is not drinking at all while they are here we will contact you to discuss options and strategizes 

Do your dog’s paws seem more sensitive? Did they wake up with sore muscles? This is also completely normal, especially if they are new to a social  setting. It's common for dogs' paw pads and muscles to be sore after  playing all day.. Much like we would be if we went mountain hiking for the first time. 

Yes, if we have room, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate last minute requests. We recommend submitting a boarding request as soon as you know you need pet care.

No, doing so will get you removed from our client list. 

Drop offs and pickups are done by appointment only. Please do not show up without an appointment, if you are going to be late or need to reschedule please text us immediately.

Pickups and drop offs are not allowed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day or Christmas Eve 

Failure to pick up and drop off at your scheduled time without notice can result in being removed from our client list. Being late for your appointment will result in a $40 late fee.

Being a home based business we opperate on a by appointment only bais. This helps us to have proper time management so that all the pets in our care receive the care, love, and attention they need and deserve.

Yes!  The more honest you are about your dogs behavior the better we can care for your dog and keep all the other dogs and humans around them safe as well.

I’m sorry no, we would not be able to give adequate care to a dog who is aggressive to adults.  Ask me about dog training recommendations! 

We will of course contact you as soon as we notice any symptoms that need addressing. If we can not get ahold of you we will try your emergency contact. If we can not get ahold of either you or your emergency contact we will  care for your dog like it was our own, including seeking out veterinary care if necessary.

It really depends on your dogs, their size and how comfortable they are with each other. Please contact us if you need help deciding what will be best for your dogs. 

Under no circumstances will dogs from different households be allowed to share a kennel.
